Public quality standard

What we check before a classroom resource is presented as available.

Teachers need resources they can understand quickly, use with students, and inspect before choosing. This page explains the classroom, visual, and technical checks applied to current published materials.

Concrete checks

The standard is visible in the resource.

Pedagogical checks

  • A resource names the skill, the learner task, and the teacher decision it supports.
  • Examples and visual models match the mathematics, reading, or subject thinking students are asked to do.
  • Teacher notes, answer support, and differentiation are included when the resource calls for them.

Visual and accessibility checks

  • Pages use readable type, clear hierarchy, and sufficient contrast for classroom projection and printing.
  • Diagrams, quantities, labels, and spatial relationships are checked for instructional accuracy.
  • Images and files use descriptive labels or alternatives where the format supports them.

Technical checks

  • Published downloads open in their stated format and match the listed resource details.
  • Links, printable pages, and answer materials are reviewed before a resource is presented as available.
  • Resource access, reuse, and licensing questions are answered through the current published path.

How to review a resource

Look for the teaching decision behind the page.

A classroom resource should make its purpose clear: what students do, how the task represents the target skill, what support a teacher receives, and how the material is intended to be used. Claims about curriculum alignment, access, or reuse should be supported by the current resource listing and its published terms.

Need a written resource or licensing answer?

For a published fixed resource, intended educator count, or licensing and purchasing question, use the written inquiry path. The inquiry records the question for review and does not create a custom build or delivery commitment.
