After Checkout: Consumer Evidence Investigations — Grades 7–8

A cancellation request arrives before renewal. Two activity entries look like two charges. A parcel is marked delivered, but the order may be incomplete. What can the records actually establish? After Checkout gives Grades 7–8 learners three supplied-record investigations. They begin with an incomplete view, propose possible explanations and choose a useful verification request. Every learner then receives the same returned records before the final assessment. An alternate record provides an independent transfer task. Learners calculate where needed, identify the record supporting their claim, and retain what remains unknown. Teacher guidance includes worked keys, estimated pacing, projection pages, participation options and a four-criterion, eight-point rubric for each investigation. A low-writing route supports pointing, oral responses, dictation or exact staff scribing while keeping the same evidence requirements. All people, records and processing rules are fictional; no purchases, accounts or personal financial information are required. Includes 51 searchable, printable PDF pages (27 teacher and 24 student), six editable plain-text sources and two planning texts. No slide deck is included.
